Removing 870 MM bead sight

Does anyone know if you can just unscrew the bead or is it glued or solder on.

If it is a bead that is on the barrel withour any base, it is screwed in. If it is on a small base, it is silversoldered on and is installed when the base is put on.

I'm still trying to figure out what the MM refers to......Removing 870 MM bead sight...

The beads in the ribs are sort of peened in place... you have to get them out however you can and then plug the hole and drill and tap it for a sight.

Traditionally to me it has always meant "millimeters" .
.. but I guess Marine Magnum makes more sense than "momma mia"... not much more though...
