Removing a broken tap

Thats just a stripped down version of a EDM machine as all it needs to do is go down to EDM a tap out. ;)

All you got to do is if you have a EDM machine on hand is put in a thin (small enough so it wont burn out the sides of the hole of the hole) and let it work its magic. :D

There's always more then one way to skin a cat. I surprise no body mention Lisle Tap Sockets or Walton tap extractors. I always used a good quality threat cutting oil. Starting, intermediate and bottoming tap sets are the way to go unless you don't mind grinding your own. Little tricks like having a compressed air gun to blow cutting out of hole helps too.

Waltons (or any good tap extractor) are great on the bigger stuff, once you get down to the numbers (esp 10 and lower) I'm not sure they'd be my first attempt tool. Tap sockets? are they like the ones snap on makes for driving the tap?
