removing a stuck grip screw?

hi all,
i somehow got a screw stuck in a wraparound grip on my 1911, any tricks you more experienced gents could reccommend? since i have the original grips i could just cut it out but i'd like to save the grip if possible, thanks in advance!

put a non maring piece of plastic in between and pry up and start unscrewing them. Then when got the grip off, pop them out from the back.

Is it possible to use an impact driver or tap the end of the screw driver with a small hammer to jar the threads loose if the screws won't turn out?
