Removing Benelli M2 Tactical Front Sight

Does anyone know the correct procedure for removing the LPA front sight completely from the Benelli barrel? I'd like something a little more low profile.

I'm pretty sure it's soldered on, so it's not really easily removable, though anything can come off if you're brave enough. You can change the sight post by loosening and removing the nut underneath.

Yup. I'm pretty sure it ain't coming off without a lot of effort. All I want is to go to a bead sight. Might need to try and swap barrels to the rifle sight version.
