Anyone have any ideas on removing the factory finish on a CZ? Looks like it's been chipping, so I figured a removal and re paint is in order. Is there any tried and true method or can anyone post a old link? I used the search function but didn't come up with anything.

I owned one a while back.
I had sand blasted the finish off completely.
Then degreased, acetoned and cera-kote sprayed it. Using the oven bake type.
Looked bad ass. Very durable, turned a flat textured black. I sold it years ago after shooting the unholy s**t out of it.
I'll try and dig up an image.

primer and krylon with clear coat would look ok?

Three types of paint? That is too thick. Only one layer ceracoat or duracoat does the job.

Before and after with duracoat parker

DON'T use krylon!!! It chips and don't harden. I painted my cz with it and was a mess just after a few trips to the range. Once the barrel heated up I could rub the paint off with my fingers.
