Removing factory gen 1 xcr birdcage?

Having a hard time removing this. Someone had recommended heating it up but before I do that, I was hoping someone may have a better idea. Thanks

It's pinned and welded. Look on the underside of the a2 , you'll see it. Use a grinder or dremel to get most of the way through , just don't go too deep or you'll mess up the threads. I did a write up on it a while back with pics the xcr facts thread.
