Hey guys, i got a fiberglass m14 stock from FabSports around christmas time, and i just got around to painting it. The problem is im far from an artist and it didnt turn out as well as i hoped it would. I used the spray on krylon from canadian tire. So i was wondering what is the best way, or if there is a way to remove the krylon? I didnt prime or anything i just sprayed it on. I would like to try and redo the paint job so i dont need it completely gone, just enough to try again.

Thanks guys

a rag and a light soak of acetone.... but remeber the stock is fiberglass and acetone eats fiberglas...... if you can find INTERSTRIP 222 , this product is 100% safe on fiberglass and most metals.... will not damaga firearm finish , bluing/parkerizing ect.... interstrip is all i use. wear gloves hehehe

Plus 2 for INTERSTRIP or even just simply sand out any imperfections and repaint again. This time use my golden rule when spraying from a can.
  • Keep can 1 foot away from what you want to spray.
  • Use short little stroke's. (Meaning don't keep pressing on the spray tip. Go in one direction and release finger then back in the other direction and release finger.)
  • Remember "Less is Best"! (Meaning you can easily apply more paint but to remove to much or to fix runs is a real pain in the back side!)
  • Also painting is 90% preparation and only 5% painting and 5% curing.
