removing lock-tite from mag cap/tube

I did a really stupid move with one of my shotties. I put a sling on my M590A1 and when it was one the sling caused the mag cap to turn slightly...so I applied a little gun-tite (green tube, I think) on the threads of the mag cap/mag tube, it worked but now its stuck.

I cant remove the mag cap, and thats a real problem...@#^$%**&^^%$ !!!!
I tried rubber vise grips from CanadianTire and robogrips......nothing, also being very careful not to cratch anything.

What should I do to free this mag cap???

You could try heating it up! or warming it in the oven if there are no plastic parts. I'm not familiar with the 590 setup.

Heat it up carefully, then use your robogrips carefully.....and learn from your misteak

Use plumbers pliers, they look like channelocks with plastic jaws.

Use a heat gun to heat the area. A hair drier may also work (it does with the blue Loctite). Then use your rubber vise grips.

Next time, use the blue Loctite.

WD-40 will cut Loctite. Soak if for a few hours.
