hey guys, i have recently purchased my first shotgun and would like to remove the magazine plug as i will not be hunting with it, only shooting trap.

I searched on here but had no luck for this particular model and not very much luck on the google either.

is anyone able to help me out with this?

thanks in advance

Remove the forend cap .you will see a friction cap inside the end of the mag tube.very carefully remove the friction cap( pry it out with a flat blade screw driver ) it will be under tension from the mag spring try to keep your hand over the end of the mag tube as you remove the friction cap and catch the spring as it comes out.remove the plug then replace the spring and the friction cap.

Why remove the plug for trap?? Someday you may need it and will never find it or worse forget a few years down the road and go duck hunting with it. Just wondering, rembolt nailed down the removal

My range limits max loading to 2 cartridges on the skeet and trap ranges for safety. One in the chamber and one in the magazine or optionally two in the magazine with the action open when walking about the range. The only reason I would remove the plug is for camp defense from bears. Just keep the plug in your ammo box and you will have it with you and you won't lose it.

Once you get it out, measure the length and cut a piece of wooden dowel.
If the friction cap doesn't have a hole in it, make center and drill one slightly
bigger than the wooden dowel you just cut.
Then all you have to do is remove the forearm end cap, tilt and the dowel will
come merrily out.

Got it out. Thanks alot guys for everyone's help. Wanted to take it out so i could drill a new one as the one inside had splintered.

Never plan on going hunting, and I usually shoot trap on a friends farm so we have someone operate the thrower while 2 of us shoot and this way I can have an entire round loaded then once \i am out its my turn to operate the machone.
