hey all, its been a while since i've posted (got busy with vacation, and hunting season...wait, that doesn't sound bad at all). but i'm having a bit of an issue regarding how to get CAKED on powder off the walls and cap of my new/old rcbs uniflow powder measure i bought off of e-bay. just for a bit of history, i bought this powder measure off e-bay a while back and just got around to checkin it out. upon first inspection everything looked great, but i noticed the lid was taped on with electrical tape. you guessed it, the very nice person on the other end decided that "as is" really meant "as is". shipped it out powder and all (the posties would have had a fit!). so i emptied out the old powder (shaking my head) but now i'm stuck with a lid and hopper that is just caked with this old powder that who knows how long its been in this hopper (for all i know it could be his old pappy's that was found in the attic after sitting for the last 20 years)...i mean, i can't ever scratch this stuff off with my fingernail! so i don't want to get to tough with it cause i don't want to scratch the plastic, and i don't want to use any harsh chemicals because some of the nasty ones will melt the plastic...HELP. what should i use guys? i have it soaking in some hot soapy water right now, but it's not in a hurry to go anywhere. thanks in advance.
