Removing Rubber screws from top of Tika T3

I just got my Tika t3 and tried to remove the screws on top to mount my scope only to find that they are rubber and just fall apart.
now what?

just use a qtip to clean the pieces out.

well they are not that broken, they are basically just rubber plugs now.
Do they have to be drilled out? what kind of system is this?

Small punch, push them in to the action. Make sure the rear two don't get caught in the trigger group. Don't forget to remove the bolt/magazine first.

Use a metal dental pick. The same thing happened to me. They *should* unscrew, but sometimes they don't.

I heated an Allen key, melted it into the plastic, let it cool then unscrewed them.

I've mounted plenty of scopes on Tikka rifles. Just use a punch and push them into the action. They're not actually threaded.

Yes, I've mounted scopes to about 50 of them over the years.

That would work, but is unnecessarily complex IMHO, as you can just push them through the holes in to the action.

I wish I'd just tried that. The damn thing started spinning and I thought I was in trouble!
