I have an older Browning bar man date is 1980 and it has a ramp front sight and a raer sight from williams on it. It appears that the front sight is screwed right onto the barrel. Can this be removed and not affect the barrels performance ?
Thanks

Shouldn't affect the barrles performance, but you will have to find the proper forster plug screw to plug the hole. Most likely will be 6-48 or 8-40 thread. But I could be wrong.

If you can't find any plug screws in your area, give me a shout next week before the 9th. I just ordered a bunch. Both sizes in 1/8" and 1/4" lengths. Send them to you NC. (That's just for jdemora you bunch of freeloaders:p )

You could EMT me 0.75 for postage. Just kidding:D :D :D

Not a prob. I know how hard they are to come by. The three gunshops in a 100 km radius of my place don't have 'em. Or if they do, they aren't saying:rolleyes: So I ordered a bunch myself and hopefully unless Mayor Miller and Chief Blair orders a ban on plug screws I'll have them on Monday or Tuesday. But then again, I live in BC so screw 'em.:p
