Removing spraypaint? 2003 vz58 sporter

Hi,
Just recieved my 2003 vz58 today.Previous owner had spray bommed it. Would solvent or maybe carb cleaner work to remove it? Could it damage the stock?Any ideas?

I would find a set on EE and replace it.
Or go synthetic.

Do you mean the wood stock?

I painted my entire CZ-858 in black and carb cleaner took it off with no problems.

Sorry should have been a lil more specific. the entire rifle was bombed. The pistol grip and butt and forestock are the pressed chip composite. solvent seems to take the paint off all the metal havent touched the composite with it.

It will take the paint off the pressed wood stock with no problems and will not damage the stock.

Thanks carb cleaner takes it off no promlem!
