Removing stock on 8.5" Dominion Arms

^cant you just push the bolt all the way in, then grind off some of the tip?

I'm pretty sure I can get the supplied bolt out (re: will NOT be usable), however it's fitting the new proper sized bolt in that presents the problem.

I noticed on the side of the Knoxx stock there are almost what appears to be 'push pins' that are quite well seated. If those could be removed then it'd be smooth sailing...

...however I'm more than a bit apprehensive to take a hammer and punch to 'persuade' it out!

i wouldnt push the pins out of a knoxx stock - im pretty sure theyre holding the springs and sh*t inside :D

im not sure i understand the problem. why exactly cant you thread the Knoxx stock bolt into the Grizzly receiver?
the thread is the same, and there should be room even if the stock bolt is slightly too long.

Does anyone know the norc bolt # to fit teh norc 870 clone? Is it a machine thread or?????

it is the EXACT same thread as an 870. i just installed a Hogue and a Speedfeed stock on an 8.5 Grizzly with the supplied bolts (Hogue and Speedfeed) and they threaded in no problem.
same with my older Grizzly - ive used Remington stock bolts in it several times.

Yup...even with some quality Ketel One sloshing through my veins I was cognizant enough not to attempt that...it would probably end with me spilling my vodka and taking a spring in the eye and I just can't have that happen now can I with the price of vodka these days?!?

The Knoxx bolt WILL thread into the receiving assembly of the Grizzly, however when it 'maxes' out there is a gap left that has the stock flop c@cking about.

strange, from what i can see there is plenty of room for a longer bolt. the stock nut on the Grizzly looks identical to the one on my Wingmaster. perhaps the stock nut backed out a bit? im not sure if theyre staked or not - ive never had one loosen or tried to remove one.
pull the triggergroup after you install the stock and look in the nut from inside the receiver and try and see whats going on... maybe the Chinese didnt tap enough thread on your particular gun?
if youre mechanically inclined, perhaps you could chase the thread with a tap to cut it a bit longer?

oh, and make sure you install the little metal plate between the receiver/stock.

FWIW, I have installed one of the newer style Rem 870 Express Stocks on the 8.5 DA Grizz, and she assembles nice and snug with the stock Rem 870 express bolt.

The SG now weighs a mere 5.4lbs according too my bathroom scale! lol!
