I have a Brown A-Bolt in 7 mm Rem Mag, with a Boss/muzzle brake on the end. While I like the reduction in recoil, I am always carrying around muffs and plugs when hunting. It is just too loud. So I am interested in removing the Boss, and just "capping" the threads. Anyone have suggestions on what to put on to replace the Boss. Just use two nuts, and tighted against each other. Another option is installing a Boss without the built in muzzle brake, which I would have to buy, but I was looking for a cheaper and lighter option. Your thoughts?
