Removing the flash hider- what happens?

Will my #### fall off?


I'm wanting to build a handy bush gun and want an 18.5 shorty with no flash hider. Its gonna see a ton of range time though- so I'm not really sure I want to do it if the damn things gonna blind me everytime I fire it. For those brave folks that have done this- whats the effect?

Unless you're doing most of your shooting at night... You most likely won't see any difference.

ahh- thanks. I'm gonna be scoping the rifle- but itd be cool if I could have a front sight on there anyway. Any good options out there for that?

Starting with a 22" and having it cut and crowned gives you more options. Having it threaded even more so.

The bark could be much loader with no flash hider. that flash you see also makes noise. I suggest you try it with flash hider off and no ear muffs to make sure you could hunt with it. If blood starts to pour from your ears, you will know that you don't want to cut the threads off.

Seems like a bad idea to me. If your going to hunt with out hearing protection just find out when you are out hunting.
