Removing Type 81 foregrip

Having issues with it. I unscrewed the bolt and took out the cleaning rod but still won’t budge.

I am either missing something or just need a hammer.

Help would be apppreciated.

I'm pretty sure it should just need a little tap then. Possibly give it a few light taps and see

So it should just come off? Straight down same as the piston cover just opposite direction?

If that is the case then it’s just wood in the way at the bottom between the end and the lower

Hammer the rear part of the lower off, nothing but the bolt and cleaning rod hold it in place. Seems like ur is just tight, and that's not a bad thing!

Ok good stuff. I pulled hard at it but wasn’t sure and did not want to break anything. Gonna try again later.

Got it off, thanks guys. Had to tap it with the hammer cause the wood was catching on the lower metal
