Hi
Wondering if anyone out there has lightened up there Rempel bipod?
I know that some people have done this. Wondering how much you have shaved off it for weight ?
And if you have any pics?
Thanks

I have lightened my Remple up and believe it is about half the weight. You will lose a pound in weight by just swapping out stock pins and skis for titanium. Don't expect it to be a fast process...those pins can be a bastard to remove! I also used the mill to remove a bunch of material from the legs as well. It is a lot of work and If I had to do it again I would sell the Remple and buy a Duplin.

KS arms can do it but it will cost big bucks, got 2 done and they are beautiful

Galloway might do it also not sure

Can take pics but don’t know how to post em up here. One is anodized gold. Nice

Jeff

Thanks guys.
I considered the Duplin, a carbon fiber one and even a joy pod.
I just like how stable the Rempel is. Some of the others to me look like they have more hop in them.
I need to loose 5 ounces. And a bit more would be better.
Thanks

I have been trying to get hold of Henry Remple.

Is he in business out at Langdon AB.
I bought a F Class bypod off him this summer,,, I want to get another adaptor plate to have on hand.

Next question is. Is the Remple adaptor plate that bolt onto the forearm of the rifle,,, would it be a standard item,,, or is each manufactor / builder mounting bracket different.

Don from Western Canada

buy the adapter plate from Henry, he might be out or visiting his kids keep trying

sending some pics to the op as my phone crapped out and he can post them if he wishes later. Jeff

Thanks Jeff. I figured he's out and about some where.

No hurry as I'm sure he'll be kicking around next week.
I'm going to buy 2 mounting blocks incase I lose another one. Ha.

Thx from Don

Thanks Jeff.

I'll touch base with later this winter.
I got lucky and found one of the Remple base plates, now looking for a few small specialty peaces for the base plate to attach to my stock for mounting.

Here it goes.

Chris with MCR made me a extra long F Class stock.
He in-lay-ed "if that's even a word" a Anschutz rail.

Apparently a person can use this rail to slid things into it, then tighten the 2 screws to fasten things secure to it.

In my case,,, it would be the Aluminum Remple block I have. All I need is the screws and inserts.

So who in Alberta would handle those Anschutz insert nuts.

They are flat along both sides, and tapered in a V so they fit tight when the screw is tightened up.

I need 2 for sure, but have 2 extras might be a good idea.

If anyone knows of someone that might have those inserts, it would be much asperrated.

Thanks from Don

Henry has them. Who ever you got your plate from should have had them with the plate as when Henry supplies the plate he also supplies the hardware.

Found the Anschutz adapter hardware threw Chris @ MCR custom stocks.

Chris rocks.

Thanks to everyone with pm's and the sorts on Henery Remple.
Again, I'll touch base with him later this winter.

Jeff
I haven't got the pics yet. I have been a little busy as well to.
Just getting back into an area where I have cell service again
I have a few questions and will give you a call next week if that's ok?

I can also send a pic of my adapter and how I have it mounted
Thanks

All is good. Pins are easy to remove just have to look at what direction they were installed
Made titanium pins milled a bit out.
Total weight savings is 10.5 ounces. Titanium is easier to work with than you would think.
