remy 760 shoots high

hey guys i have a older remington 760 pump that shoots 8 inches high at 100 meters, i dropped the rear sight down to the lowest it would let me. I was shooting federal blue box 180 grains, is there something I could do to drop poi even if it shoots high with different brands and weights?

If the rifle wears factory sights you are taking the wrong sight picture. If not try a taller front sight as has been suggested.

they are factory sights, i will take advice given and change sight picture and use less of the bead as suggested
