Hey guys, relatively new to the sport.
Now I am set on an 870 or the mossberg 535 for my first shottie. Reason being is simply the support and aftermarket parts available.
Through research I've stumbled on posts saying the newer 870's have production flaws opposed to a few years ago causing more to go into the shops for repairs. Can anyone confirm this or provide an explanation why?
Next, I injured my shoulder two years ago pretty bad, so how is the kick when compared to the c7 or c6 which I fire often at work? I can handle those rifles easy but I have no idea what I am in for when it comes to a shottie.
Other considerations: I plan on using the shottie for clay, deer and waterfowl.
Any suggestions or pointers are apprecaited. Cheers,
