I have a special 41 Cal Round ball mold from england it works ex in the dixie type 41 rf cases.
The navy arms stuff is sure nice tho all that i have bought has fired just like new.
The one below is a nice two line barrel address gun. So its pre 1888

years ago i picked up 5 boxes of the navy arms ammo, all shoot 100%
i shoot them in my colt derringer & my Remington Double barreled , and the odd time my swamp angel

And no i dont have 41 ammo that i want to sell. the stuff i did want to sell i sold on the EE last year @ 259.00 a box! and i wish i never sold them!

I used to have one of those style pistols in .38 special. I finally gave it to a friend of the family who was a LEO. I figured he might have some use for it because I sure didn't. Beyond useless unless you were planning in doing someone harm at extremely close range.
Mine; shooting the 38 spl was like pounding drywall with the butt of your hand, it hurt.
But each to their own. I hope that you enjoy it.

The 41 Rfs are not so bad to shoot i just shoot like 15 ft at a target but can hit a watermellon everytime at that range :D
Theses were designed to use across a card table but there fun to shoot.

We have them because they are fun and some of us appreciate the history and elegance. I don't think too many people would find the .41 rimfire uncomfortable to shoot.

Oh don't get me wrong guys, it's a very cool gun. Mine was made by RIG if I recall. That's the same manufacturer as Hinckley used to shoot President Reagan if I recall correctly.
The one I had didn't flawlessly switch barrels. The top would fire NP but the next shot was a coin toss if it was going to work. Unbelievably loud, with sharp recoil. A BP would probably be much nicer to shoot. But it would probably be a bad way to die, probably infection over 4 or 5 days I'm guessing. I think I'd prefer a 45LC to go out with , myself.

Yeah I remember reading accounts of civil war soldiers complaining about the little rimfire rounds, .30, .32, .41's ect.

The external lube collecting dirt and lint ect from dirty hands and pockets, get one them stuck in you and your in for a nasty infection and agonizing death.

Not my first choice by any means.

I see a interesting project here, build a small gamblers box, nice card set, chips and a sliding cover to secure this little dandy, neat little bit of history.

Ive never fired or owned one, its neat.

They are neat
That would be cool. they fit in anything small alot of the small old wood boxes at the salvation army and thrift stores are good for derringers and other smaller guns.
Them are antique peral grips not repos the real ones look so much better.
I have a SAA Colt a S&W DA and now a Derringer all with pearl grips.
