Renegade folder¿

Have been wondering if anybody has tried to mod thier renegade with a stock folder mech¿ did it work¿

Been seeing the folder mech in my FB feed a lot lately and was curiose.

The Renegade still needs the buffer tube, spring and buffer to operate the bolt carrier/bolt. So, I don't think this will be a viable option.

I was not aware that this side folder existed. Other, more conventional AR15 butt stocks will fit the Renegade just fine. As long as the buffer and spring are present, the Renegade action will works properly. So, this unit should work.

That would look nice on a fixed style stock. I may have to look at getting one. As long as it doesn't become prohib by doing so.

On a fixed length stock it’s going to add to the lenght of pull, probably an inch or more.

A folder can be under-length so long as it's not fireable folded, and you really wouldn't want to fire an AR that way and have the BCG come visit, but a Renegade would stay locked up until you pull the bolt back and be on shaky ground without a long barrel and possibly a locked-on muzzle device.

That thought did cross my mind, and given that mine is a 12" barrel would make it quite prohibited.

But someone with the 18" barrel could possibly do it.
