Renegade with russian surplus

Hi all,

I'm considering converting my MRA Renegade into 7.62x39. I already have bolt, magazine from a previous AR but no longer have the barrel.

Before I invest in a barrel again, anyone had problems with light primer strikes on surplus ammo?

Yes, light strikes with both USGI trigger spring and extra power spring, about every 5 rounds. I switched to a Triggertech Competitive AR 3.5lb and now only get a light strike once every 250-300 rounds.

Might have to look for a different firing pin as well then.
