Hi all,

I live near Arnprior Ontario and am having some trouble finding a pistol/rifle range close to home. I really like the idea of a range with a keycard access that gives 24/7 availability... I am on shift work so its hard for me to make it to the usual range days. I know there is Stittsville which is a very nice facility but that doesn't help my access issues. Any input is greatly appreciated!

My knowledge of the area is a bit dated, but I don't remember anything between Stittsville and Eganville. (Edit) If you're looking for shooting after dark, you'll need an indoor range. The only indoor ranges in the region that I know of are Grenville (in Prescott), and the RA Centre in Ottawa. The RA Centre is not going to be 24/7, but perhaps Grenville Fish and Game might work (quite a long haul).

Beechburg Ottawa River Sportsman Club may be what you are looking for, (613) 582-3857.
There is EOSC which is east of Ottawa, but open 365 days a year, 9am to 6pm

Eganville has a range. A turnkey operation. Open Dawn to dusk.

There are 100, 200, 300 and 400 yard rifle ranges. 15, 25 and 50 yard handgun ranges. A trap field. An archery range.

If you shoot handgun, you must take the mandatory handgun safety course and then be mentored for up to 15hrs.

The club meeting on the 19th of this month starting at 1900hrs.

If you want more info, PM me.

Lads, thank you all for the input. This is much appreicated. I think I will research more into Eganville. It seems like the hours of operation would suit my lifestyle the best. Fingers crossed I can get out and enjoy some range time more often! Thanks again fellas. CGN never lets me down. Always great information. Have a great weekend.

Pembroke has a dawn to dusk outdoor range with self member access. The indoor range has set range hours. As well, there are 2 trap and 1 skeet as well as a outdoor archery range

there is a waiting list to become a member for this one. once you become a member and take the RO course. you will be given the codes to get in and use the lower ranges. between the hours of 0900-dusk from Monday to Saturday and from 10-dusk on Sundays. available on the lower ranges are a 50, 100, 150 yard ranges. they are marked every 10 yards for convenience. there are also 2 metal gongs available on the 150 yard range

Thank you for the info. Pembroke woukd be a little far for me. Stittsville is great but like I said the hours are no good for me. Hoping Eganville will work out.
