A gentleman wants to trade for one of my guns but I am not able to put a value on his gun for trade purposes. I can't find anything on the rifle in current catalogues that compare to this gun. I know in 2003 Wholesale Sports advertised the same gun for $999.95
What is this package worth?
Here are the specifications and a few pictures.
Remington 700 VS (Varmint Synthetic) 308.
It has a composite stock of fiberglass and graphite, reinforced with Dupont Kevlar.
Aircraft-grade aluminium bedding block running the full length of the receiver for completely free-floating the 26", barrel .
Lupold VX III 3.5-10 X 40 scope with 1/8 click, target knobs, mounted on the rifle with Lupold one piece base and rings.
Because the scope is in 1/8 clicks there was a shim kit added, obtained from Armarment Technology.
He added scope covers, a Harris 9" - 13" swivel Bipod, and an Uncle Mikes butt sock for extra rounds.
Trigger is smooth and breaks at a 3 lbs.
He bought it new, has only put about 70 or 80 rounds through it in all the years he has owned it. It looks like its new out of the box.
Its not as heavy as my 700 SS 5R rifle, but has a longer barrel.
