rented a 50 AE the other day!

came down to visit my dad and we went to Straight Shooters (Western Metal) in Calgary because he is a member there and he needed to sight in a couple guns, when there i noticed you could rent pistols there to try out.
of course my eyes fell onto the gold pimped out 50 AE and i just had to try it out!!!

in the video i was experimenting with the slow-mo function of my phone, so there is a slow part in the middle between the 2 shots that actually was only like 2 seconds in real time.
also, if you watch carefully you will see 2 funny things.
1 - one of the cases lands on my shoulder and sits there and dosnt leave!
2 - one of the cases falls and lands on the pistol, in the original video you can actually hear it in slow motion go TIIIIIIING!

also tried a chiappa Rhino, i was surprisingly underwhelmed by it.

luckily for you it was an empty shell casing and not a round that landed on your shoulder. could have been ugly

I love the DE 50. I rented one in Florida 10 years ago. Lots of fun.

I just shot my first .50AE a week or two ago also.
I was surprised by how bass-y it sounded. (Shot it outside, so not affected by the walls)
Its more of a THUMP then a crack.

As for the Rhino. Was it underwhelming because you thought the muzzle flip reduction would be more? Or just everything about it?
