Hello Gun Smiths,
I have a Stevens double barrel shotgun. I inhierted it frm my uncle. He and I did a lot of duck and chicken hunting together. So, the gun has great sentimental value. And, I'd like to use it on hunting trips as a reminder of him.
The history is that the original gun had a barrel explode due to a bad shell. So, my uncle purchased a second gun with a broken stock. He put the good barrel on the original receiver/stock. It worked for awhile.
Then, it would misfire occassionally. I found that the fit between the barrel and receiver is not snug. So I need a gun smith to do some machining to tighten the fit. I know the gun probably isn't worth it, but it is to me.
So, does anyone know a Smith that can do this kind of work?
