What is the best method for touching up a small scratch in stock of a hunter grade Browning Citori. The scratch is not to the wood but seems to have gotten through the finish. Its 1/4" long and a 1/16 " wide Completely refinshing seem a bit too much

Thanks in advance:confused:

Could try and pool some clear finish in the scratch, and re apply till its flush. Start sanding, and you will end up with a bigger mess. So fill is your only option, or a full re finish job. True oil may work as a fill, but it will take time to set, and as it dries put more on. Wipe any that spills over where the scratch is not. Hope this helps some.

Clear acraglas. Put it in the crack and then put a piece of cellophane tape over it and smooth it out with your finger. Remove tape once acraglass has set....if done carefully enough, you'll not even notice it was there....
