Do .22 pellet co2 repeating rifles or handguns exist? I know Crosman used to make some S&W Model 10 clones, back in the day, but are there any modern-production ones out there?

Thanks!

Cabelas has decided to start selling CO2 revolvers and semi auto pistols again, and they have a tacticool little long arm that will shoot a limited number of semi or full auto BBs, as I understand. All of these are well under 500 fps and do not require a PAL.

Understood, but are they all .177?

Not sure how many exist now, but there were a few back in the day. I still have a Hammerli Air Magnum 850 in .22 cal. It is a bolt action 8-shot repeater with a cylindrical "magazine". Powered by an 88gr CO2 cartridge. Before I had another CO2 repeater in .22 - it was a pump action 8-shot repeater also powered by an 88gr CO2 canister, and cycled with a pump forend. Sadly the thing broke on me - I swear it was released in prototype stage, as it didn't last too long on the market (can see why). Still it was innovative and an interesting concept.

Had one of these as a kid.
- Enjoyed it back then...

But by today's standard, it was just a waste of $
- Minute of barn door accurate
- Poor shot count... and when you put a co2 cartridge in, you better shoot it up now... because soon enough it will empty itself.

On the upside, I kept me out of trouble. As I was always trying to find odd jobs to do, that would either get more more pellets/CO2/Targets

The other thing about CO2 repeaters is that performance and velocity take a massive tumble in colder weather. For some guns as well, if you have a slow seal leak, you may not realize you are out of CO2 until the most untimely situation. I used to carry extra canisters around until I realize that the poor pellets/canister were more due to a leak in the seal/o-ring rather than anything else.

I've read many really good reviews of this one, just haven't jumped yet - ca $200+ with tax, shpg and spare mag. 7-shot magazine and under 500fps, but 'target-style'. Likely more accurate than the Crosman 2240 ? I dunno ? And princess has C02 on sale for under $1/cart occasionally. thegazelle is right about temp sensitive carts and cart/seal-rings s/b oiled occasionally.

Check out the Diana Chaser/Bandit and the Diana Trailscout/Stormrider if you want a repeating .22 or .25 cal for hunting small game. CO2 and PCP versions of both are available.

Crosman made their S&W 1008 in 22. But it's harder to find. Sig has a PCP 22 Semi.

Diana chaser you can slap a mag and make it a repeater. Snow peak has a 22 rifle bolt action as well.

Thanks OK . . for another toy to check out. Now i need them both . . . interesting to search about Snowpeak, re their mfg for many brands.
