I have searched for over a year to find a replacement 1100 barrel with the remchoke sytem, he has been using the factory 30" full choke shooting 3" #2s for ducks and such. Which has been fine for him. But I was hoping to find one for him so he could have more options as well as barrel life, they list the barrel on the Remington web sight but do not sell it. I know there are a ton of guys using 1100 magnums in the duck blind still, so why are these so hard to find?

Any help would be appreciated

Remington use to say that using steel up to and including #1 shot was safe to do in all their modern shotguns with fixed full chokes. Personally, I would just have the existing barrel reamed out Light Modified constriction and never look back.

If you really want a RemChoke barrel, and haven't already done so, contact Gravelagency and they will tell you if they are available or not and where to order one.

Remington makes an 1100 Steel Shot barrel with Rem Choke. BUT this barrel is gas ported for 3" STEEL loads ONLY. It can be used on any 1100 frame (magnum or not) BUT only 3" steel can be fired in it not 3" lead. I don't know if Remington ever made a 3" 1100 barrel for steel shot solely for the magnum. I do know that most Magnum barrels will work with steel loads but some will need gas port enlarging. 3 Macs is the Guru and hopefully he will be along with some wisdom. The current barrel you refer to works with steel loads so I would have a smith install screw in chokes. I would imagine it is of much better quality than anything The Big Green is making today.

No Guro my friend just a dude that has been shooting these dam things since the 60's and still have a pile of them
Got me on the new rem steel barrel have never owned one of those. The mag 1100's that I still shoot steel out of were both sent and fitted with thin wall choke tubes. There was not enough material to fit rem chokes when I had them done. Both also are factory size gas port and cycle steel and lead 3" just fine although some say one may have to open them for steel. Never tried any 2 3/4" steel out of them
If the Op are stuck on tubes I would have the factory barrel done or just opened up as VLT79 says
Cheers
