Replacement barrel for a Tikka T3 Super Varmint

Hey everyone
I am wondering if anyone here has replaced a barrel on a T3 super varmint in 308. Would it be a good idea to replace a tired, factory barrel with a lilja 27" for some long range shooting? I don't know if the action is heavy enough for a barrel that size or not. Anyone with experience? Would be great to hear from you.

Get a barrel blank of your liking and a gunsmith can install it.

Talk to your GS first and find out what OD you need at the breech end. Most varmint type barrels are 1.20 or 1.25" at the breech and .900-1.00" at the muzzle.
 
It should be straight forward and not that difficult to replay a tikka t3 action with another barrel, I have taken apart t3 running the action, it a very action to work on. Cost around 150 to 200.
