Anyone know where in canada I can get a replacement bolt for a remington 700 sa? I'm looking for one with a bolt face for a .224 Valkyrie (0.422 i think). I know remington chambered rifles in the 6.8 spc and this would be the correct size for the valkyrie round.

the 6.8 SPC is slightly larger at the rim then a 6mmPPC case, many people have been using a modified slightly bent extractor in a standard 308 bolt face with good results for years, the other option is a sako extractor on a standard bolt, that will work with zero issues.

I know some guys have had QC issues, but I have always had very good luck with Pacific Tool and Gage.

They will make you a great one piece bolt with the correct bolt face.
Then take the rifle and your new bolt to your favorite smith to be properly headspaced.

that will work with zero issues except with the partial install of the Sako extractor system you greatly reduce the safety of the 700 design if you ever have a catastrophic case failure.

The bent 700 extractor retaining the '3 rings of steel' is much superior.
