I just picked up a Remington 700 SPS Tactical AAC-SD w/ 16.5" barrel I'm looking to do a few mods & replace the stock.

I tend to keep this on some what on a budget so I'm looking for ideas on a replacement stock under $300 & keeping the gun with a hinged floor plate, not a box mag but do plan to add a floor plate extender from Brownells.
any thoughts on a stock?

since I have a threaded end cap I'm also looking for a good muzzle break or flash hider in .223

last thing I'm going to do to this rifle is strip off that ugly Remington SPS finish and Cerakote this gun, just have to decide on a color.

For replacing the stock:
I would go for a boyds pro varmint with some extras like a nice color option, custom length of pull and better recoil pad. You'd still be under your budget.
Or wait for a HS precision to show up on the EE.

Muzzle device:
I really enjoyed the NEA hybrid, it's a flash hider and brake together.

Redhawk Rifles for your stock and muzzle.

Thier great to deal with and have most of your big names!

x2 Bell & Carlson makes really nice stocks in your price range. The M40 is my personal favorite, and is around $275 last I checked. Solid and full length aluminum bedding blocks that go from the tip of the fore end into the butt stock.
