I just got a new Henry US Survival rifle (quite pleased with it BTW, watch for a full review in the coming weeks) but I really want a different stock for it. The one it comes with is great in the sense that everything fits into it nice and neat (and I will be keeping it so I can use it for its intended use anytime I go camping) but I'd like to fabricate something a little more comfortable.

The original stock is really wide and is a little unwieldy to hold comfortably. I know that there are some great stocks available in the US, but getting them to Canada seems to be nigh-unto-impossible.

I was thinking of taking the stock from a Crosman 2289 and rigging it up to fit on the AR-7. The end result would look something like this:

Problem is, I don't want to buy a new pellet gun just for the stock, so I was wondering if anyone knows where I could find one for a few dollars. Maybe you have one laying around in your basement that you want to get rid of...? ;)

Thanks!

I've seen the stocks available from the states, and I've seen guys who have made adapters and such. I'd love to try my hand at making one eventually. I may be a little naive, but the ones I've seen are made from a ar pistol grip, a bent piece of steel and a carbine stock adapter.

As for the airgun stock, there were similar stocks made for the crossman 1377C that can tire used to sell. I think they're similar in profile.

they also have a wood one available with a forearm.

Keep us posted on how it goes, I would like to see the finished project. Looks like a good project........i think I have an idea....

Regards,

John
