I would love a better stock for my Savage 111. It has the plastic magazine that attaches to the stock. The stock isnt the greatest but the rifle shoots great. I heard you can get replacement bottom metal.

Anyone know what I need to get the job done and where to buy it?

I bought the rifle through WSS when they were going out of business. It didnt have the accutrigger so I put a Timney on it. I dont have much money tied up in the rifle so I dont mind spending money to get a decent stock sorted out for it. I would probably pick up a Boyds.

Boyd's is my Go-To. I've done four rifles with their stocks including my trusty old Savage 111 with the side button release DM. Prices and turnaround are good, fit is very good, minor fitting or making ready for bedding is all that's needed, and very customizable. My next one will likely be their new AT-One stock- super adjustable and around $200 US
