So Freedom Ordnance state that due to the difference in the size of the lower in their FX9 that replacing the trigger with an aftermarket one can be problematic. Has anyone replaced theirs, with which trigger and how has it worked out for you?

I've replaced mine with a CMC PCC single-stage trigger, and have had no problems after over 1,000 rounds, it' been flawess. It dropped in without issue. I'd highly recommend it.

Anyone try the S3G?

By the way the Rise Armament trigger may fit the bill for me. I'll probably order one, try it out and if it doesn't compare to the S3G, drop it in my PCC/PCC build, while still sniping a sale on the S3G for the main 3gun rifle build.

Kept my trigger assy and just replaced the springs with JP enterprise 3.5 lb yellow spring kit, cheap and works great. Ordered from Brownells $20 US

I've got a Geissele S3G with thousands of trouble free rounds in mine, I know people with Hyperfire 24C's( I tried the genesis and it didn't work) and I know of at least one with a Trigger Tech running.

A word of caution from Geissele website.

Please note, our triggers are designed for mil-spec AR15/M4 carbine rifles. Our AR15 triggers are not compatible with the Sig MPX/MCX weapons or Pistol Caliber Carbine AR15/M4 variants. Using them in these platforms will void the warranty.

Timney makes a pcc specific trigger which is fantastic.

I seem to remember Freedom Ordinance saying somewhere that they recommend you don't replace the trigger, due to a risk of accidental discharge.

Has anyone taken that into account when replacing the trigger? What was the issue?

I'd like to replace it on my FX9, but I'd rather keep it, and make sure I don't have an AD, more than I want a new trigger.

Identical predicament with other NR black rifles where owners could not figure out why a particular trigger would not fit. The FX9 Oem will give warnings that many triggers will not fit even if they do just to remove all culpability from FO in the event someone attempts to sue.

Switch at your own peril.
