Hello everyone

I have a question regarding 2 replicas that I've received conflicting information about, namely:

https://replicaweaponry.com/denix-wwii-1896-mauser-broomhandle-replica-pistol-laquered-wood-grips/ - 1896 Mauser

https://www.replicaguns.ca/product/cavalry-barrel-replica-revolver-gun-metal-finish/ - 1873 Peacemaker

I was under the impression that they were legal, as they should, at least in theory, qualify as antiques. Both are non firing. Is it legal to sell them?

Thank you all in advance

Modern replicas that resemble antique firearms (mainly pre 1898 designs with a few complicated caveats) are not considered firearms by the criminal code.

The two you linked pass the antique muster and therefore are not firearms and can be sold (to anyone over 18 I believe not sure on what other laws there are about that)

Thank you very much for the clarification. My friend brought up that I can get in trouble for selling them, which was an unpleasant surprise given that the actual firearms that they are based on, are legal (from my understanding).

I don't get the Canadian firearm code. I really don't.
