Replying to exchange forum-HELP!

OK, maybe I'm missing something here. I've been a member for over 9 monthe, have joined the exchange forum, yet still do not have the ability to reply to posts. I've already missed out on 2 purchases. Can someone help me and tell me if I'm doing something wrong? Is it because I don't have many posts?
