Report/of M1 Garands needs/1940

Gentlemen,
Here are three files which give of some idea of the breakdown of M1 Garands for the US Army/NG and other units to be armed with the M1 Garand. These seem to be a small amout for Ordnance and SA as they see what is going on over seas. As the World has already enter into WW 2. I hope you fine this data of interest.

Thats interesting with a "Protective Mobilization Plan" of 1 million men they planned out only 270,543 M1 rifles would be needed. I'd have thought they'd have needed more execpt for the fact they probably planned that they would also issue BAR's, M1 Carbines etc as well.

By the way do you know what a Trianglular division is ??

Ordnance had over 2 million Model of 1917.
But the numbers are still small.

Yup cant forget the bolt actions the US had in reserves since World War 1.
