Anyone know if anyone has made reproduction cardboard .303 ammo boxes? I am particularely looking for the 48 round loose pack ones similar to how some Canadian DI marked and South African ammo came in. I think these are the most space efficient way of storing .303 reloads (which is likely why it was adopted...). a standard .30 cal modern ammo can should be able to fit 8 of these in OCD satisfying precision for a total of 384 Rounds per can.

Even if its not an exact reproduction, jut a closable cardboard box with the same dimensions would work well.

Yes, someone on the forum made up templates for vintage looking ten round cartridge boxes for .303B and. 30/30.
I printed some off on card stock.
I suspect, although I'll be glad to be proven wrong, that 8.5 x 11 paper would be too small for the 48 round boxes.
This was before covid and it may be lost in the bowels of my Biden-like computer.

These are what I made up a few years back from the other chap's efforts

Those are my works. I've made modified-repro boxes. I have a thread in the DIY section showing my different box styles. I made packaging for 303b, 30-30, 6.5 Carcano, 8mm Mauser, 44 Magnum, 7.5 Swiss, and 7.5 French. Most of them are all 10-round boxes, but the limit is only imposed by my access to appropriately coloured paper and a home printer.

Other than my 303b and 8mm Mauser, most of the boxes are of my own design and not an accurate reproduction

EDIT: Here is the thread, although I see since the CGN update a bunch of the photos no longer show up?

EDIT 2: I forgot we can now just upload photos to a post now

The 10 round boxes might be neat. How do they pack into modern ammo cans?

I did try an reproduce the paper packet .303 a while ago. It looks neat and packs well into a .30 cal can, problem is its just a pain to do and is not re usable.

They fit almost perfectly into a 30cal ammo can. Width wise there is about 1/4" gap on one side. They fit 4 per layer into the can with some room to spare (3/4" or so). I don't mind that they aren't reusable, each one costs the price of one sheet of paper, which even when buying the heavier cardstock costs me like $0.10 each. I've noted before that I really enjoy reloading and use it as a way to pass winter away, so the couple extra minutes per ammo packet to fold and glue it up is all part of the process. I built a little wooden jig that holds the paper partially folded to make it easy to line up the rounds inside of it
