Does anyone know where I could get a repro Mills belt for 30-40 Krag? I find a ton of the shotgun looped ones, but not sure where to get Krag.

If anyone has any direction or advice, I would greatly appreciate it!

Thanks

S&S Firearms has them. (74-11 Myrtle Ave, Glendale, NY 11385 )

They are 75$ each. Ether Blue or Khaki.

Just a comment...the difference between a 30-40 woven belt and 45-70 woven belt is approxiamately one row of stitching. IOW...the 30-40 can be used in a 45-70 mills belt. The sasme is NOT true for the M1876 prairie belt with the canvas loops which were shellaced.
Cheers

Thanks Alonzo, I was wondering if you were on the boards. I finally got myself a hat like yours, however that Burgess company seems to be off the net and I was too lazy to convert a resistol. But am working on my getup for the big RMR next year ;)

And now we'll see if you can remember who the heck I am! :D

And thanks for the info on the Mills belt, a little "late model" for CAS but ah well.

No Mills Webbing and Mills Grenades were 2 different people with the same last name :)

Mills Webbing Equipment was made by Mills Woven Cartridge Belt Company of Worchester, Massachusetts .... The guys name was Anson Mills ( Link about is = arlingtoncemetery.net/a-mills.htm )

Mills Grenages were made by Mills Manufacturing Company in Birmingham England .... the guy who created them was William Mills (Link about is = millsgrenades.co.uk )

:D
