Hey guys
I posted his in the antique section but this is more appropriate I think and may get more views.
I have an old Slocum “side loading” revolver in 32rf. The firing pin is chipped and needs some tig weld to build it up and a new hand needs to be made (I have the broken pieces for reference)
I also have an old Webley mk3 i want to have cut for a c96 style shoulder stock attachment, it’s a strange style grip with a flat grip heel so it could take the shoulderstock, not the standard rounded heel
Does anybody know of a reputable and competent gunsmith whose turn around times are reasonable for smaller jobs like this? Most places just won’t take the work or their turn around is up around a year.
I tried a guy in prince edward county (Ontario) a few years ago, waited over a year and received a pile of crap back so I really need a reputable place.
I have talked with a gunsmith in Nepean but he doesn’t ever really seems interested in projects i talk to him about and sfrc is one of those ones with a ridiculous turn around. Vulcan is an expensive high end shop (does excellent work don’t get me wrong) and I don’t think I need that level of workmanship for these projects
Thanks for the help in advance!
