Hi fellow gunnutz, I've been thinking about becoming a gunsmith so I can fix my own firearms and fix others too. The only problem is I don't know where to start. Then I thought about CGN Community. Some of you guys here are not only experts in using your firearms but also a gunsmith at the same time. Is there something that you guys can suggest or recommend to me. I hope you guys can help me with this one. Thanks in advance.

There isn't one in ON. If you can function in French, there is one in Quebec. SAIT in AB offers some courses.
If you are really serious about formal training, you will have to go to the US.
If you want to work on your own guns, have at it.
There are lots of books, videos available. Start building a library, and amassing the tools you'll need.
If you ever work on guns that belong to someone else, make darn sure you know what you can't or shouldn't do.
There is a very good sticky in the Gunsmithing Forum. And you know the line about gunsmithing?
Do you know how to make a small fortune gunsmithing? Start with a large one.

Yep. In order to become a gunsmith in Canada you REALLY have to want it. It's not very profitable and sometimes I think Canadian gunsmiths are going extinct.
