I have more closeups somewhere. The markings vary for country of use, and so the Delta moves.

Couple of questions for Scarecrow:
1) Why thermold mags on a 2004 C7 ?
2) Why the rear Buis in front of the Elcan ?

BTW for 48th HLT, there are no markings on the right side of C7/C8 lowers, except for the Diemaco logo stamped on the upper receiver, just below the picattiny rail, IIRC.

1) Why thermold mags on a 2004 C7 ? Because Diemaco still makes/has them made for the police market etc. They apparently are much better now.
2) Why the rear Buis in front of the Elcan ? Why not - they are the back-up sights so when the Elcan fogs up etc you can remove it and away you go. I don’t know anymore but it may be or become SOP to have them there with the new upgrades and a folding stock that doesn’t allow them to be stored in the butt. Just a guess.

Sniper - Thats where the Rear BUIS goes, Note the slant on the elcan and the slant of the BUIS - its matches. Also no other place to put the back up sight. Actually having the back up sight there is pritty good, I shot it that conf accurate out to 100m.

OK, so were not up-to-date with the latest SOPs in my militia unit
We're not issued the BUIS everytime we take out the C7s... only when we go MOUT/FIBUA training.
On those occasions, we swap the elcan for the buis (the elcan simply stays at the unit).
I prefer to put the buis nearest to the charging handle for max sight radius.

We dont even have them, I got mine off a buddy and it diddn't last long, someone jacked it, but lucky I keep my C79 with me. I just toss it in my IP bag. I dont even us my C79 on my C9, that goes in my IP bag and I use that little back up sight on the C9 rail.
