Research........the basis of understanding ANYTHING.
With that said. Im in the fledgling stages of understanding the venerable .38 Super +P cartridge. I googled the cartridge and wikipedia gave me a general run down of it. From what I understand it is the "same" as the .38 ACP cartridge but loaded with more powder. I will be getting a reloader to reload myself but im wondering if one can actually "run" the .38 ACP cartridge thru a 1911 38 Super pistol? According to Wikipedia one CANNOT shoot the 38 Super thru a pistol designed only for the 38 ACP, but im wondering about the other way around.
Yes, I know why would anybody shoot a "lesser" cartridge thru a pistol designed for a higher load. I could say the same for the .357 that can also shoot the .38 special
Would appreciate some input from you "old timers"
