Resetting to 0 on 3200 10x40 Target Turrets

I've just picked up a 3200 10x40 for my new .223. The instructions that came with the scope in the box do not mention the target turrets I have and how to adjust them. If I 0 my scope to 300yds the elevation turret will likely end up between two of the 10moa hash mark scale. Is there a way to reset the height of the turret so that my 0 on the turret will once again line up exactly with one of the 10 moa hash marks?

I dont believe so. I think all you can do is zero the knob to the vertical mark. Another thing you can do is put on a moa base. I have this on my to do list with my tikka. If I add a 20moa base to it the zero should be at the bottom hash mark and read '0' at 100 meters. Hope this makes sense. There are some scopes that do what you want like the night force and it is called zero stop.

You should be able to remove the allen screw at the top of the turret barrel. lift off and then slide back on so the 0 lines up with the hash mark as you said. Then you will be zeroed at 300 but the turret will read 0. There are 10 minutes of angle in one full revolution of the turret so getting them lined up should be easy. Most mil-dot turrets have 15 minutes per revolution.

Thanks for the replies. Would have been nice to be able to reset them but I'll have to deal with it as is. Other than that I've been impressed with the scope so far. Very clear glass and overall a solid scope. I'll have to see how it does at the range now.

I don't think he read your post.

You should set the elevation turret so that 0 coincides with the horizontal line appearing and the wind turret so that 0 means no wind left or right. If you have windage adjustable bases, set the wind drum to zero at the centre of the golden triangle and adjust to shoot the middle in no wind using the bases.

He gets it. What he is asking is how to reset the vertical turret. Not the MOA indications (thats easy) but the revolutions indicator under the turret. On a 3200 they cannot be reset. I'm not sure if any scope can be reset in that respect....only elevated bases will fix that.

what do you mean you can't reset the elevation turret to zero on a 3200. that's the biggest pile of crud i've ever heard. what a useless scope.

You guys need to read a little better what is being said. The first post was to zero the scope with the knob going all the way down. This cant be done with the 3200. You can zero it to whatever height the knob is currently at, but then have to record how many hash marks you can see also.
