wonder if you guys can help me figure this out, i have been reloading for a few years now and never ran into this before .I use to reload for 308 and got aset of 308 rcbs dies i sold the rifle and have not reloaded that cal for a few
years now have a new 308,so i go to reload a batch 50 once fired federal.
Every thing seemed fine till i went to trim them on my rcbs trimer the pilot would not go into the neck checked right sized pilot right shell holder even
rechecked the die setup and did a couple more cases. The o.d the neck is smaller then spec, and so is the i.d .Unresized case necks are just like they
should be the bullet falls in .What happened i have used these dies before and they were ok ,i cleaned them before using and i lubed the necks .
I Used my 30-06 dies and set up to just neck size the top bit of neck and that worked but now the necks are long Iknow i have to trim.
