resizing question

I have a question about resizing, in Lee press's manual, it says it's a must to resize ALL cases, but do I need to resize new rifle cases? I think new cases shouldn't need to resize. Thanks.

new cases do not need resized, a lot of them are dented or bent around the mouth or neck. I usually neck size them about half way down the neck to make them round again then chamfer the mouth to get rid of the burrs, then they should be good to go.

I am not famaliar these south african surplus. any older surplus cases can usually be reloaded as long they do not have berdan primers.

The south african I had was berdan primed and not easily reloadable.

i would resize all new cases, as i,ve noticed the lenghts of new cases can be 10- 15 thou different. as such, i treat all new cases as though they were picked off the ground at the range.
