I have seen worse shoot very well. I would shoot it and see what happens. People get too caught up on perfect bores. I have a 43 Mauser that the first 6” from the chamber is nasty but will cloverleaf 3 shots at 75 constantly.

Was thinking this also. Seems just in one area.
I have to agree. There are so many much better ones to choose from.
Personally I wouldn't take this rifle for free.
Pride of ownership just isn't there.

Op’s friends offered him a long branch enfield at a low price, one which was in military configuration. Op wanted a general price range and opinions. Op then posted a photo with some internal barrel damage/neglect near the muzzle. Op then deleted original post for some odds reason.

... It is always frustrating when someone doesn't understand the sharing spirit of a forum, like: "PM me and I'll tell you...". Guys like the OP seem to believe they have to clean after themselves.
