Resources for bear hunting in BC

I am a new hunter who has been out 4 or 5 times bear hunting with a group of guys who are more experienced hunters. But, all I have seen to date is the tail of a black bear as it ran away.

Does anyone know of any books, web pages or other resources that I could look into to improve my odds at getting a bear?

I would suggest you head out with experienced hunters, this is the best and fastest way to learn.

other then that, if you're ever up this way, drop me a line and I'll see what we can do.

could be that you are going out with too many people if bears are running away before getting a good view of them.try going out a scout a bit on your own if you feel comfortable out there by yourself
